We started our vacation taking the ferry from Boston Harbor to Spectacle Island. We hiked the island with views of other islands and the Boston skyline. There were lots of interesting plants and flowers to see, too. We ended the island visit by sitting on a bench on top of one of the drumlin hills and watching boats and planes.

Putting on our fancier clothes, we prepared for an evening aboard the Oddysey, a harbor cruise boat in Boston. We had drinks on Long Wharf, then boarded the boat and had an evening of fine dining, live music, dancing, and looking at Boston while enjoying some sublime evening weather. A nice bottle of wine made our evening even better.

After a leisurely morning we had brunch at the Irish Rose in Boston, then headed out for an easy drive to Provincetown.

Arriving in the afternoon, we took in the nice views from our beachside hotel on the outskirts of Provincetown. The town is about 1.5 miles away and we had a nice time filling our fitbits with long walks every day. The hotel had a nice pool with a poolside bar and grill.

We found a nice place on Whalers Wharf off Commercial St. with a balcony overlooking the harbor. Having drinks and watching the sun set was wonderful.

We had drinks and dinner at a great Italian place off Commercial St. The wine was great, the atmosphere was very nice, and the food was good, too.

One of our favorite surprise finds was a public garden nestled in between homes on Commercial St. with lovely flowers and shrubs.

Another great dinner at Napi's. We enjoyed a bottle of wine with an appetizer plate followed by some delicious food.
On our final day we did some hiking including climbing the Pilgrim Monument, which we had been reminded of at night first. The views are fantastic. The final picture shows Whalers Wharf, one of our favorite spots.
